MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
Mission of this role is show business where and how to win through insightful findings of market researches and in depth analysis of multiple source of data. This is a very critical role in Commercial Excellence Department in the context that functional expertise of market research is part of departmental scope while demand of insightful understanding about market, customers, consumers, patients are on the rise. Additionally, Commercial Excellence depart is the center of multiple sources of database yet there is a gap in bringing them all to another level business intelligence and advanced analytics. The role of Senior Manager of Market Research and Business Intelligence is to:
Manage market research project from project design until final deliverables, ensure insightful report with insightful findings and recommendation
Design proper governance process and collaboration model between multiple business partners to set up business analytics, business intelligence flow and deliver in depth analysis with and recommended action plan
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
MARKET RESEARCH (40%)
Understand the categories, brands, customers and the key business objectives and challenges, and be able to set relevant research programs to deliver against the objectives
Distil information from primary and secondary research e.g. ad hoc, market information. Complement this by demonstrating market insight capabilities - complement ad hoc research with in-market understanding
Responsible for building and developing relationships with own group of business partners including Marketing, Sales, Salesforce Effectiveness, MCE to validate and incorporate insights to create action plan
Ensuring customers/consumers are at the heart of decision-making
BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (60%)
Establish framework, process with clear role and responsibility to consolidate and systemize diversified sources of data (internal, external)
Understand business partner expectation (senior leadership team, sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, commercial excellence) in terms of data structure to serve for cross functional business meeting forums
Writing reports and presentations that present data and findings in a clear and concise manner
Advocating for business intelligence solutions that will help the organization meet its goals
Analyzing data to identify patterns or trends that could indicate problems within the business
Working with senior management to develop goals, objectives, and strategies for improving business performance using BI tools
Recommending changes to existing business intelligence processes or policies to improve efficiency
Monitoring industry trends to identify upcoming challenges or opportunities for the organization

MINIMUM BACKGROUND/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum 8 years
Proven experience in business analytics, business intelligence, market research.
Experience with cross functional project management is a plus
EDUCATION
University degree
Bachelor degree in pharma or business administration. MBA is a plus.
