MBC Connects ASEAN Entrepreneurs at HCMC Export 2026
At the recently concluded HCMC Export 2026, the presence of the YEN-D network and a Myanmar business delegation alongside the Mekong Business Club in Ho Chi Minh City (MBC) created new opportunities for cross-border engagement and opened the door to tangible business prospects.
Held from October 22 to 24 at the WTC EXPO International Exhibition Center in Binh Duong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, the trade fair featured approximately 750 booths and welcomed 230 international buyers from 15 countries and territories. Spanning sectors from agricultural products and food to textiles, furniture and export services, the exhibition provided Vietnamese suppliers with opportunities to connect directly with prospective partners.
At the event, MBC established the “MBC Common House” as a shared space for product showcases, information exchange and business networking. It particularly facilitated engagement among companies from the YEN-D networks in Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam through booth visits, networking activities and discussions on sourcing and business needs.
The Young Entrepreneur Network Development (YEN-D) delegation from Southeast Asian countries visited the MBC Common House and engaged in business networking activities at HCMC EXPO 2026.
“We were impressed by the quality and packaging design of Vietnamese products, which also demonstrate strong potential for international markets,” said Kyaw Zaw Linn (George), a representative of the YEN-D Myanmar Association, commenting on HCMC Export 2026.
According to George, the Myanmar delegation comprised 26 companies operating across a range of sectors.
“Through this event, we hope to identify suitable suppliers, expand our business network and explore opportunities for cooperation with Vietnamese companies in the future,” he said.
The international delegation also included Adul Chotinisakorn, former Director-General of the Department of Foreign Trade under Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce and founder of YEN-D.
Originating from the business community involved in the Young Entrepreneur Network Development program, the YEN-D Young Entrepreneur Network Development Association seeks to connect entrepreneurs from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand and other Asian markets, with trusted relationships serving as the foundation for business cooperation.
Nguyen Thi Bich Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Mekong Business Club in Ho Chi Minh City, former President of YEN-D Vietnam for its third term, and Director of Song Phuong Minh Technical Services and Trading Co., Ltd., said stronger links between the network and Ho Chi Minh City’s business community could create further opportunities for Vietnamese companies to identify partners, broaden cooperation and gain access to promising markets.
As part of the fair, MBC also signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with YEN-D Myanmar and VIFA Alliance Exhibition Corporation during the forum titled “Strengthening Linkages Towards Green Exports.”
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of MBC, signed an MoU with YEN-D Myanmar.
Ms. Lam Thuy Ai, Chairwoman of MBC, signed an MoU with VIFA Alliance Exhibition Corporation.
One of the notable features of HCMC Export 2026 was its “on-the-spot export” model, enabling international buyers to examine products and directly assess the capabilities of participating companies.
The fair also combined online and offline activities under an O2O model, with a strong focus on traceability, quality standards and the green transition. When buyers have a clear understanding of what suppliers can produce, which standards they can meet and how they can fulfill orders, business negotiations can move toward more substantive outcomes.
