April 23, 2026, DoubleVerify (DV) – a software platform for media quality verification, ad performance optimization, and campaign outcome measurement – announced that it has received Media Rating Council (MRC) accreditation for TikTok Video Viewability, making it the first digital measurement vendor to earn this accreditation.

“We are proud to be the first measurement provider to achieve MRC accreditation for TikTok video viewability reporting”, said Mark Zagorski, CEO of DV, “As advertising investment in video-based social platforms such as TikTok continues to grow, independent verification plays a critical role in ensuring transparency and accountability. With accredited measurement backed by tens of trillions of historical ad transactions, advertisers can evaluate campaign effectiveness with greater confidence and ensure their media investments deliver meaningful value”.
The accreditation covers DV’s direct measurement and reporting of video ads served within the TikTok app, including impressions, viewable impressions, related viewability metrics, and Sophisticated Invalid Traffic (SIVT) filtration. These metrics, which had previously been accredited for open web inventory, are now extended to TikTok campaigns, with reporting available through a dedicated dashboard within DV Pinnacle, DV’s unified service and analytics platform.
“We congratulate DV on the expansion of its Video Viewability and SIVT accreditation to include TikTok traffic measurement, as well as the continuation of accreditation for Property Level Ad Verification and Attention”, said George Ivie, CEO of the Media Rating Council, “This accreditation demonstrates DV’s continued commitment to independent validation of compliance with industry standards”.

This achievement reinforces DV’s commitment to delivering the highest standards of measurement accuracy and transparency.

DV also received MRC accreditation across two additional key measurement capabilities, including:
- Expansion of DV Authentic Attention®, which now includes metrics for authentic non-viewable video and authentically modeled video impressions.
- New language accreditation for property-level ad verification, expanding DV’s coverage to 55 accredited languages across domain and mobile app environments, as well as 10 languages for CTV applications.
DV first received MRC accreditation in February 2013 and maintains a broad suite of accredited pre-bid and post-bid products across display, video, and CTV environments, all of which have also had their accreditation renewed this year.
