Report to: Senior Digital Marketing Specialist (SEM/SEO)

Job type: Part-time 20 hours/week, hybrid working in Hanoi

Duration: 6 months, extension negotiable

2. About this role

This Digital Marketing Intern (Google channel) position will be the right hand of the Senior Digital Marketing Specialist (SEO/SEM) that takes the supporting role for the execution and optimization of the current digital campaigns on Google and SEO project.

3. Roles & Key responsibilities

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) (45% workload)

  • Translate the Vietnamese articles for SEO into English with Australian tone of voice;

  • Liase with the SEO agency to review, standardize and publish the articles on RMIT’s blog site;

  • Initiate optimization ideas for this channel if possible.

SEM (Search Engine Marketing) (40% workload)

  • Keep track of the execution of the current Google Ads campaigns (Search Ads, Performance Max, Demand Gen, etc);

  • Research other competitors’ campaigns and work with the Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to come up with implications for RMIT to optimize onwards;

  • Initiate optimization ideas for this channel if possible.

Other possible ad-hoc tasks related to the digital campaign execution (15%)

4. Key selection criteria

Highly important

  • Have a strong interest to learn, be exposed of or kickoff your career in Marketing, especially Digital Marketing area;

  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership of your tasks;

  • Careful and details-oriented;

  • Sufficient English proficiency for work, especially for writing.

Fairly important

  • Good communication skills, be able to think thoroughly and articulate your ideas to others;

  • Basic understanding about digital marketing channels (Facebook, Google, TikTok, etc) and tactics (Social, Search, Display, etc)

Nice to have

  • Experiences with tasks or positions related to digital marketing or content development;

Conduct thorough research about the digital marketing activities of RMIT Vietnam via Google channel, then analyze and provide suggestions to improve or better make the most of this channel.

The research and analysis can include but not require or limited to the following details:

- What Google tactics RMIT has been using;

- What ad copies and layouts RMIT has been using;

- What is the status of RMIT Vietnam’s digital branded assets (webs, pages, blogs, google map locations, etc);

- How RMIT’s direct competitors are utilizing Google channels for their Marketing and Communications?

- How is the insights or trends of education sector on Google platform?
