RESPONSIBILITIES

Purposes and Objectives

  • This position is responsible for intense technical financial writing of creative materials that are on brand, on message and deliver on creative brief and job requirements for internal marketing line of business managers and corporate support departments.
  • The copywriter utilizes brand guidelines to create copy for web, video, advertising, collateral, brochures, sell sheets, white papers, electronic and promotional/
    presentation materials.
  • Exemplify the consultative approach to writing. Able to meet aggressive timelines and juggle multiple.
  • Experience writing white papers on financial subjects on the business to business side is needed priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provides fresh ways of bringing value propositions to life through compelling writing. Effectively collaborate with team members translate creative brief into copy concepts that follow brand guidelines. Copy concepts completed on time, error-free and within brand.
  • Writes for advertising, collateral, and point of sale materials. Creates accurate and compelling content, while collaborating with team members (brainstorm), that meets brand standards, consistently across all mediums and within deadlines. Content that is on brief, compelling, consistent and meets brand guideline standards.
  • Writes for digital space including web sites, banners, video, and email. Creates accurate and compelling content, while collaborating with team members (brainstorm), that meets brand standards within deadlines. Project requestors receive appropriate content from Creative Services
  • Writes content with consistent messaging that is appropriate for all types of media. Research existing materials across multiple mediums to ensure a consistent message that supports the brand. Ensures a consistent message across all media type which builds brand equity.
  • Create deliverables that meet requirements of the project; Adapts copy changes to advertising, collateral & point of sale materials. Review and comprehend project request for deliverables to ensure deliverables meet the needs of the requestor. Adapt copy changes to advertising quickly and accurately. Final outputs meet the defined needs of the requestor.
  • Lead: While performing the duties of a copywriter, the Senior Copywriter must also be a leader in the department. Create and embrace positive change within the department. Continuously work with a value-added mindset by seeing beyond what is required and suggesting improvement and alternative solutions. View issues as challenges for improvement. A leader who sets the tone and example for others on the team.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Time Frame

The ability to work as scheduled with punctual attendance from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday plus any additional hours/days necessary in order to meet business demands. Depending on the projects, flexible time options are applied.

Time frames are quite fluid in the film industry and are often highly dependent on funding, it may require long hours work, late nights and weekend in order to meet deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years as a copywriter, content manager, or equivalent, experience working in an advertising and in production house.
  • Experience writing for the financial field (i.e. white papers, brochures, online, blogs, etc).
  • BS/BA in journalism, creative writing, technical writing, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of writing for multiple mediums within a financial corporate environment.
  • Experienced using technology for project management and efficiencies, e.g. Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, digital asset management systems, marketing resource management systems.
  • Understand and utilize web-writing methodology.
