What a Senior Marketing Manager does at Visa

The individual will be responsible for delivering strategic and tactical marketing solutions to our clients in Vietnam by actively promoting VISA’s Marketing Value Added Services and Solutions with strong collaboration with his/her manager, regional Partner Marketing Services team, the Business Development team, and Visa’s Consulting teams.

Importantly, the role will lead and design Marketing VAS proposals to clients and partners, forecast and manage the VAS opportunity pipeline, participate in regional business updates, and work closely with the Business Development team, the regional Partner Marketing Services Team, and external agencies to ensure the effective delivery of revenue and margins.

The secondary scope of this role is to lead and implement consumer marketing projects and co-marketing with clients as assigned to support Visa’s strategic priorities and client’s businesses.

The Senior Manager will report to the Head of Marketing, Vietnam & Laos and be based in Ho Chi Minh.

Key Responsibilities:

Bring the “best of Visa” marketing to our key clients and work cohesively with the Visa marketing community locally, regionally, and globally, as well as the Vietnamese Business Development, Product, Visa Consulting and MS&A teams.

Develop deeper client partnerships and regular engagements. Generate new revenue streams by providing Marketing VAS holistically including marketing insight, marketing strategy, creative services, marketing execution, media planning and deployment, sponsorships, and marketing consulting services to support client’s objectives of driving acquisition, activation, usage, and retention.

Generate VAS by activating sponsorship portfolio of global platforms including FIFA and Olympics as well as local partnerships.

Be responsible for Marketing VAS client engagements and project proposals in partnership with the respective Business Development Team.

Work closely with all relevant marketing and finance teams, locally and regionally, and external agencies to ensure the effective delivery of revenue and margins associated to Marketing VAS commitments.

Manage and report the revenue pipeline, project status, successes and challenges related to Marketing Value Added Services as required templates and forums. Closely track project implementation and closure for revenue recognition as forecast.

Take charge of administrative deliverables related to client marketing project management and VAS including but not limited to marketing approvals, procurement processes, contract management and VIK process management in full compliance with Visa’s policy and process.

Plan, execute, and report Visa-led consumer marketing campaigns and co-marketing campaigns with key clients/ partners as assigned to support Visa’s strategic priorities and client’s business.

Be responsible to oversee marketing activities as assigned and upon business context and requirements. Participate in the internal business agenda and activities with strong collaboration with cross-function teams as assigned and act as brand custodian to ensure all marketing materials follows branding guideline.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

What you will need

• Bachelor’s degree preferably Marketing/ Communications or equivalent.

• Post Graduate degree (Masters) preferred.

• Minimum 8 - 10 years of proven experience of consumer & client marketing management, top-tier Financial, Payments, Technology or FMCG industry preferred – from client or agency’s side

• Strong in planning and implementation of integrated marketing campaign planning and management, digital and social marketing, communication execution, campaign performance tracking. Good creative judgement skills. Exposure in consumer research (qualitative, quantitative) from user’s view.

• Digital marketing experience will be an advantage.

• Stakeholder management skills. Especially client-servicing skills, client-centricity mindset.

• Strong in analytical thinking, complex project management and budget management. Solutions-focused and connects the dots to leverage the best of Visa’s assets and resources.

• Strong presentation, interpersonal, communication and negotiation abilities in both verbal and written formats.

• Possess high learning agility, can-do attitude, and hands-on experiences.

• Passion for Visa business, technology innovation, with high energy and intelligence.

• An independent individual, yet a reliable team player.
